Refund policy

AlyKat’s Bakery is not responsible for any damage to any order after it has been received by the client or delivered to a pre-designated location. Be sure to clear a flat surface in your vehicle to place the box(es) on when transporting them, do not stack anything heavy on top of the products, and keep them away from any direct heat. Cookies and 3D printed items are fragile, and it is important to handle them with care.

Bakery/Food Items - Return & Refund Policy

Policies for edible items differ from 3D prints. For 3D prints, please scroll to the next section.

Clients have 48 hours from time of pick up to file a complaint for us to review. Photographic proof and returning the damaged item(s) or in some cases the entire order for investigation are required before any refund or store credit can be issued. 

50% of the total order is maintained as an order retainer and is non-refundable if an order is cancelled within 2 weeks (14 days) of the agreed upon pick-up/delivery date. If an order is cancelled 2 weeks (14 days) or more prior to the agreed upon date, the balance may be refunded in full at the discretion of the bakery.

Design Variations
Be aware that light can cause colors to look different, especially with photos. We do not offer discounts or refunds if the exact shade of color is not achieved or if a variation occurs due to color differences under natural, fluorescent, low light, etc. We will do our best to match any color inspirations we are given, but we are humans, not a computer with a paint mixing machine. We know color theory and apply this knowledge to matching colors as close as we can and building beautiful pallets.

Design Inspirations
We will not refund orders because we did not copy another artist's designs exactly. Photo inspirations provided are just that- inspirations. We work hard to make your order unique for your special event and will not directly copy another cookier's work.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately at admin@alykatsbakery.com if any part of the order is damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Cancellations made 72 hours or less from the pick up or delivery date are not subject to any store credits or refunds as your order has physically been started by this time. Good news though, you'll still get some delicious cookies if you maintain the order.

Refunds
We will notify you once we've evaluated the situation, and let you know if the refund (or store credit) was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

3D Printed Items - Return & Refund Policy

Custom & Made-to-Order Items

All 3D printed items are made to order. Because of this, returns and refunds are not accepted for change of mind once production has started. Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor layer lines, small surface marks, or slight color variation may occur and are considered normal, not defects.

Defective or Damaged Items

If your item arrives broken, warped, or significantly defective, contact us within  5 days of delivery. Please include your order number and clear photos of the issue. We will:

  • Replace the item at no cost; or
  • Offer a refund if a replacement isn’t possible.

We may ask you to return the damaged item or responsibly dispose of it. If a return is required, we’ll provide instructions and a return label when applicable.

Lost, Missing, or Incorrect Orders

If your order is lost in transit or you received the wrong item, contact us within 10 days of the expected delivery date so we can make it right.

Return Shipping (When Applicable)

If we request a return, we’ll let you know whether a prepaid label is provided. Unapproved returns may be refused.

Important Notes

  • 3D printed items are intended for decorative or hobby use. They are not intended for food contact unless explicitly marked as “food-safe.” Some items are made from food-safe filament, but due to the layer lines of 3D printing, they are not officially certified as food-contact safe.
  • Exposure to heat or direct sunlight may cause warping; handle and store accordingly.
  • Handwash only- not dishwasher safe.
  • Small parts can be a choking hazard. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
